Barron County is home to over 360 spring-fed, crystal-clear lakes, carved by glaciers during the Ice Age. The county’s lakes range in size from a just a few acres to over 3000 acres.

WASHBURN COUNTY - We would like to welcome you to Washburn County, with Northwoods in every Direction. Not only does this area have Northwoods in Every Direction, but there is something to see and do in every direction as well. Washburn County boasts over 950 lakes, hundreds of miles of trails from horseback riding to hiking, from snowmobiling to ATVing, primitive canoe routes and many more activities for the outdoor enthusiasts.
